History of the ACE Awards
Since 2000, the ACE Awards have highlighted excellence across the multifamily industry. Over the years, the program has expanded to include new categories, special recognitions, and a refined judging process.

Nominee Responsibilities
- Demonstrate professionalism and leadership
- Provide accurate and thoughtful nomination materials
- Represent their organization with integrity
Committee Responsibilities
- To ensure a fair and transparent evaluation process
- Uphold ACE Awards standards and traditions
- Coordinate logistics, communications, and recognition
Professionalism and respect are at the heart of the ACE Awards. All participants agree to maintain professional boundaries and refrain from soliciting employment during the awards cycle and for one year following the event.
Who Can Be Nominated?
ACE Award nominees represent a wide range of property management professionals. Companies are encouraged to nominate team members at all levels — from on‑site staff to portfolio leadership.

- Portfolio Managers
- Support Staff
Nominating companies must be current Multifamily NW members.
How Many Nominees Are Allowed?
Nomination counts vary by category, typically ranging from 15–30 nominees per grouping.
- Up to 10 total nominees per company
- No more than 3 nominees per category
How Are Winners Chosen?
Winners are selected through a multi‑step, anonymized evaluation process designed to ensure fairness and consistency.
- Nomination questionnaire scoring
- Nominee questionnaire review
- Letter of recommendation scoring
All identifying nominee and company information is removed before judging.
Evaluations are conducted by out‑of‑state judges from Apartment Associations nationwide.
Final scores are tabulated by an independent accounting firm, with sealed results opened only during the ceremony.
Process
Step 1: Register

Login with your credentials.
Step 3: Click Create
Click the “Create” or “Start Application” button to begin a new submission.
Step 4: Fill in the application
Complete all required fields with accurate and detailed information, and while filling the application ensure to choose the award category that best fits your nominee.
Step 5: Nominate the nominee
Enter your nominee’s details and let the nominee know that you have nominated them. They will then receive a request at their email address to submit a form.
Step 6: Submit your nomination
Review everything carefully, then submit your application. Nominations will be reviewed, and complete payment must be received for a nomination to be considered.
